"Smith argued that the founding of the United Nations played a role in the establishing this global protectorate situation" should be "Smith argued that the founding of the United Nations played a role in establishing this global protectorate situation" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Regulareverydaynormalsugerlover (talkcontribs) 00:22, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The 4th word

[edit]

This page starts with "The Monroe Doctrine was a United States foreign policy position", is this accurate? Should it be "The Monroe Doctrine is a United States foreign policy position". This article doesn't seem to come to a consensus on whether the doctrine is alive. It has definitely changed a ton, but its still the Monroe doctrine, and besides one quote from John Kerry there is a litany of evidence in this article saying it is still in force. Other opinions would be appreciated. 1brianm7 (talk) 04:38, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seeds of Monroe doctrine

[edit]

In the “seeds” section, it says the “foundation for the Monroe doctrine was laid as early as 1783 during George Washington’s presidency”, 1783 is actually 4 years before Washington’s presidency began 2601:18D:4500:FE10:503D:BA1:4015:8C26 (talk) 11:31, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Include, why the US violated the Monroe Doctrine and entered into the war in Europe by joining the British/France forces in the 19teens to fight against Germany/Austria. 2600:1700:13D0:8E00:B5F2:6D49:EED3:5D98 (talk) 16:50, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. LizardJr8 (talk) 17:17, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
